It has now become an essential happening for all Sardinian blues lovers, who every year do not miss the appointment of the Vulcani Blues festival in Santu Lussurgiu .

The Talk About Records event, conceived by the young ethnomusicologist Diego Pani, never ceases to change its skin every year to offer its audience loyal sounds that smell of rock, showcasing young talents from the national scene, including the Sardinian one, in the suggestive location of the Antica Dimora del Gruccione .

This year, eighth edition , three exclusive evenings on Saturdays in July, 16 , 23 and 30 , always in the flower garden of the Antica Dimora where the live-acts of three artists with different careers, artistic visions, techniques, voices will alternate . "Three expressions along the way of blues and folk, the leitmotif of an intimate festival that places musicians and the public face to face, in an atmosphere of total sharing and that makes each concert a special event because I travel to discover the acoustic roots of one of the most incredible music of the 20th century ”, explains Pani.

Departure with a bang on Saturday 16th with the Malignis Caupobonis (the crooks taverniers) and their unconventional blues, at times experimental, sung in English, Sardinian and Italian and characterized by strong references to theatrical dramaturgy. On Saturday 23rd DeLucaBlues , the solo project of the Roman bluesman Andrea De Luca, one of the most important Italian blues guitarists, with an international career (often alongside sacred monsters such as Roberto Gatto or Dean Bowman), takes the stage. Saturday 30th the grand finale with Bonny Jack , a Roman one man band dedicated to a blues strongly influenced by American old time music, especially the more noir and esoteric one, often referred to in the lyrics of his songs.

Social commitment: one year after the great fire that hit Sardinia, Vulcani, which donated the 2021 proceeds to the restoration of a mountain path between Santu Lussurgiu and San Leonardo, will inaugurate the first restored section in September: "An important project of the very particular that combines the pleasure of walking, cycling, the enjoyment of art together with that of nature and this thanks to the support and collaboration of many subjects, first of all the players in the world of wine ”, explains Pani.
