Virtus Cagliari secured Sardinia's first win in the Women's Serie A2 championship. After a weekend marked by losses to Cus Cagliari, San Salvatore Selargius, and Mercede Alghero, Fabrizio Staico's team managed to reverse the trend, defeating Vicenza 85-77 in their home debut at the PalaRestivo.

A deserved victory, built on a particularly effective start and defensively when the visitors attempted to re-enter the game. Sardegna Marmi started at a fast pace and after just seven minutes already had a 16-point lead. Vicenza, however, refused to be discouraged and found the baskets, especially from Fusari, to gradually close the gap, coming back to within five points during the second quarter.

The Venetians' reaction continued after halftime, despite Cagliari's attempt to break away, inspired by Bremaud and Tykha. Peserico brought Vicenza back to within one possession (54-51), but Virtus managed to regain control of the game and rebuild a comfortable lead. In the closing stages, Bremaud and Malintoppi, in particular, secured the result, extinguishing the visitors' last hopes of a comeback.

Serafyma Tykha's individual performance stood out, adding 18 points and 7 assists. Carla Bremaud also contributed significantly, scoring 18 points on 50% shooting, while Mounia El Habbab nearly posted a double-double with 14 points and 9 rebounds.

For the white-and-blues, it is the first victory of the season, coming after the mocking defeat on the field of Futurosa Trieste.
