This time it is the percussions and more precisely the idiophones that are at the center of the appointment with “I mercoledì del Conservatorio”. On November 6th at 7 pm the Sala Sassu of the “Canepa” music institute hosts the concert of the twenty-one year old Alessandro Catuogno. Admission is free.

The program includes the performance of Asanga by Kevin Volans, Time for Marimba by Minoru Miki, Fantasia n. 1 from Acht Fantasien fur Vibraphon by Harald Genzmer and Reflections on the nature of water by Jacob Druckman.

From Sassari, Alessandro Catuogno began his studies ten years ago, in the percussion instruments class of the Monte Rosello Basso Institute, then continuing at the “Azuni” Music High School and finally at the Sassari institute of higher education in Piazzale Cappuccini where he has been enrolled since 2022. He studied with teachers Roberto Migoni, Andrea Bini and is currently following the courses of Professor Roberto Di Marzo. In 2023 he was a semifinalist at the National Arts Award held at the Parma Conservatory. He is currently competing in the international competition Italy PAS - Percussive Arts Society 2024.
