Vaccines: "Out of 108 million doses 117 thousand reports of adverse reactions"
The annual report on the safety of anti-Covid administrations has been released. In 83% of cases the adverse events "are not serious"
As of December 26, 2021, a total of 117,920 reports of suspected adverse events following the anti-Covid vaccination were entered in the National Pharmacovigilance Network out of a total of 108,530,987 vaccine doses, with a reporting rate of 109 reports per 100,000 doses administered, independently vaccine and dose.
This is highlighted by the new “Annual report on the safety of anti-COVID vaccines” released by the Italian drug agency.
Again according to Aifa data, 83.7% (or 98.717 cases) of the reports entered refer to non-serious events and 16.2% (19,055 cases) to serious adverse events.
Analyzing the data, Aifa also underlines that vaccination for Covid-19 "is indicated both in pregnancy and in breastfeeding.
