Universities Minister Anna Maria Bernini has signed the decree for the 2026/2027 academic year, confirming the open semester structure for Medicine—free access to courses upon passing the exams—in Physics, Chemistry, and Preparatory Biochemistry and Biology, and introducing several new developments based on discussions with students.

Teaching activities will begin on September 1st and must conclude no later than 10 days before the first exam session, scheduled for December 10th. Results will be published on December 23rd. The second exam session will take place on January 11th, with results on January 20th.

Compared to last year, therefore, the teaching period has been extended and the dates of the two exam sessions have been postponed.
