Eurovision 2023 will not be hosted in Ukraine, as the rules relating to the competition would like, according to which whoever wins one edition will be the host country for the next.

Next year, however, the United Kingdom - runner-up this year - will be the country where the European song festival, a highly coveted TV event, will take place.

The announcement comes from Nadine Dorries, foreign minister of the British government after an agreement reached with the Kiev authorities. The renunciation was made in relation to the situation of the war with Russia .

The broadcast on TV will be guaranteed by the BBC.
