About 124,000 confidential documents could reveal all the secrets of the rise of Uber , the American company based in San Francisco that has always aimed at competing with taxis around the world.
The Guardian has seen them, according to which these documents would reveal how Uber has carried out a gigantic lobbying campaign for years, even lobbying political leaders to become a leading company in the transport sector, even using unscrupulous methods and breaking laws .
The confidential files date back to the time when Travis Kalanick was at the top of the company. Among his sponsors - says the Guardian - also Emmanuel Macron when he was Minister of Economy and former EU Commissioner Neelie Kroes .
Kalanick (forced to resign in 2017) also met Joe Biden when he was US vice president.
