As expected, the Chamber has just rejected the FdI motion to eliminate the airport tax . The majority, however, simultaneously submitted its own motion regarding incentives to increase air travel during the winter .
This document, signed by all the Campo Largo group leaders, commits the Transport and Tourism councilors to strengthen their collaboration with tour operators, airlines, and local authorities. The aim is to identify strategies to increase tourist flows, determine which incentives carriers deem necessary to increase flight availability during the winter season, and estimate the financial costs and benefits for the island. In short, the majority does not rule out cutting the airport tax . Likewise, according to leaks, it is also possible that part of the resources needed to eliminate it during the winter months could be allocated in the budget amendment.
Meanwhile, the Chamber unanimously approved a motion by the Reformers on the implementation of the insularity principle for goods and the urgency of structural measures for territorial continuity for the transport of goods to and from Sardinia.
