Cagliari striker Yael Trepy was transferred yesterday afternoon from the Intensive Care Unit of the Santissima Annunziata Hospital in Sassari to the Clinical and Interventional Pulmonology Unit on Viale San Pietro.

There, he will continue treatment and respiratory monitoring. The footballer was hospitalized last Sunday for a drowning incident following a swimming pool accident.

The transfer - AOU communicates - was made possible thanks to the positive evolution of the young footballer's clinical condition , who no longer requires intensive care.

"The patient has maintained stable clinical conditions, without requiring further intensive care," explains Stefania Milia, director of the intensive care unit. "Yesterday, he began mobilization with the physiotherapist and, in the afternoon, was transferred from the intensive care unit to the Pneumology department for continued treatment."

Before leaving the ward, Trepy wanted to express his gratitude to the team who assisted him during the most difficult days of his hospitalization: he donated Cagliari football shirts personalized with the name "Trepy" to the healthcare workers.
