The club announced in a statement that the player "today underwent a meniscectomy to clean the internal meniscus of his right knee. The operation, which was a complete success, was performed by Dr. Manunta at the Mater Olbia Hospital."
The Rossoblu midfielder will begin rehabilitation under the guidance of the Rossoblu medical staff in the coming days. His recovery time is unclear, but he will likely miss the next three matches.
Defender Mamadou Kebbeh, who limped off during the Campobasso match, was not in any trouble. The player, who arrived on loan from Cesena, trained with the team.
