Another goal, but still no win. At the "Vanni Sanna" stadium, Torres and Pineto drew 1-1 after a difficult match to judge. There was very little actual football to be seen, given the obstructive tactics and constant protests from the Abruzzo team, with the referee unable to control the match.
The first 20 minutes were a blaze of fire from the Rossoblù, who had five shots on goal: Di Stefano, Musso (practically alone), Di Stefano twice, and Zambataro, but the visiting goalkeeper denied them four times. Then Pineto slowed the pace with less than edifying displays, and for a quarter of an hour the game was practically non-existent. Suddenly, the opposition scored: in the 39th minute, Giorico lost the ball, Lombardi moved centrally and shot; the ball bounced poorly, Zaccagno parried it, but Mastropietro managed to correct it. Torres felt the pinch, and Antonelli had to clear off the line shortly afterward from a Bruzzaniti shot. The defender also scored with a header before halftime, but the goal was disallowed for a mysterious foul.
Torres equalized in the second half with Musso heading in Sala's cross from the bottom right corner in the 52nd minute. In the 72nd minute, substitute Lunghi played Musso into the box, but his shot was deflected by the goalkeeper with a strange trajectory that went wide. The visitors again resorted to wasting time. Little or nothing happened. D'Andrea's goal following a Fabriani error was disallowed because the referee had blown his whistle, and the Rossoblu retaken the free kick.
