Benevento "snapped" qualification for the promotion semi-finals after a match dominated by Torres. It ends 0-0 thanks to the exploits of guest goalkeeper Paleari but also to questionable refereeing. Two goals annulled for the Sassari team and above all a penalty denied in the 95th minute following an obvious hold against Dametto.

First half dominated by Torres who creates at least six scoring chances, while Benevento manages to build almost nothing and has to thank its goalkeeper if it doesn't go down. In the 2nd minute Paleari opposes Diakite's diagonal. In the 5th minute a gore from Scotto and the ball hit the crossbar , then Zecca catches up and Ruocco scores but the goal is disallowed for offside. In the second half the theme does not change. Torres scores in the 74th minute with Diakite but the goal is disallowed due to Idda's offside. In the final assault the rossoblù are not lucky and the referee and assistant ignore the obvious penalty foul on Dametto.
