«I plan to arrive at the settlement between 5 and 10 April and I would like to present myself with a complete team, which can really begin to talk with the Sardinians about the main problems that we have to face».
Thus Alessandra Todde, new president of the Sardinia Region , speaking to reporters upon arrival at the Hotel L'Anfora in Tramatza for the first regional assembly of the 5 Star Movement after the vote on 25 February. Todde has 20 days from the day of the proclamation by the court, therefore from March 20th, and will have to convene the session by Tuesday April 9th.
Today's meeting – explained the new governor – is also «an opportunity to see all the friends of the movement again and be able to celebrate after a long and hard electoral campaign».
«The air in the air is one of change - Todde said - and I expect that we will be able to put on the ground what we promised in the electoral campaign and the guidelines of our program. We are aware that expectations are very high and therefore at this moment we must be concrete."
The junta – As for the names that will be part of his junta team, «I said it – Todde reiterated – very clearly: the votes taken count, the contribution to the coalition. Even the smaller political forces will in any case have recognition, perhaps not directly in the council, but certainly in the government of the region. The objective is to give representation to the coalition forces that are at our expense."
Administrative matters – «I don't deal with administrative matters and I don't have to deal with them. However, it matters to me that the cohesion that we achieved with so much effort for the regional elections continues to exist, and that it is maintained for the local elections", Todde then said, regarding the next municipal elections.
The coalition – Again, Todde continued, «we want to work with the coalition, we believe that it is the only possible path and therefore our working tables have already started with the allies in the main cities and therefore it is important to maintain this path. It was a winning path, we were credible and therefore it is important to also be able to re-present the administrative appointments with the same credibility."
