Todde council, first meeting on Thursday: «Election Day out of respect for public coffers»

And on the relationship with the Government: «I would like to meet Prime Minister Meloni immediately»The first meeting of the Council led by Alessandra Todde will be held on Thursday 11 April. Today the swearing-in of the councilors, of the 12 new councilors and the election of the president of the regional council, Piero Comandini.
In two days, therefore, the debut of the new executive. President Todde indicates a certain topic on the agenda: «We will talk about election day, there are different electoral deadlines (European and administrative) and it is right to combine them (8 and 9 June), out of respect for regional public coffers » .
The governor, speaking to Videolina, immediately after the Chamber session , added: "I feel a very strong responsibility to be consistent with what we said", i.e. the promises made during the electoral campaign. Then a passage on the meeting that opened the 17th legislature: «They were orderly proceedings, of a composed and institutional assembly. I thank the opposition", added Todde, "in particular the mayor Paolo Truzzu", an opponent in the presidential race "and a person from the institutions. I believe it is important to start the dialogue correctly, we need collaboration on the reforms."
It is an obsession of the five-star president: the reform of the law that governs the activities of the various departments. «It's the 1st of 1977. The world has changed. And we must change the tools and methods of exercising our autonomy." That rule imposes departments seen «as rigid structures. Instead, it is necessary for everyone to have powers to face reality. For the first time there will be a new working method, inter-departmental, with the structures communicating with each other. Thus issues such as environment, territory, landscape and energy can be addressed in the best possible way. But also social and housing policies, which fall under various departments."
Todde also returned to the list of areas in which emergencies are recorded: "Energy, continuity and healthcare: we will work on it immediately".
Speaking to journalists, Todde added: "I would like to organize a meeting with the prime minister, but above all organize meetings with the councilors and the various ministries. I am lucky enough to have experience in those institutions and it will be my task to immediately facilitate relations."
