"For years I have believed that a strategy has been in place to bring the country's first seaside infrastructure to failure, planned by the Grimaldi Group with the political support of the League and financed first by Mr. Antonello Di Meo and today by the J Invest fund".
This is what the owner Vincenzo Onorato said in a press release, in which reference is made to the Tirrenia affair.
"In the deafening silence that for over a year has characterized the work of the Mise and the vague and spurious letters of the commissioners - he continues honored - I learn that the commissioners of Tirrenia in extraordinary administration would prepare to try to sell the credit they had owed us to an unspecified 'fund' ".
"The significant risk - continues the shipowner - is that our competitor Grimaldi is hidden behind this 'fund' and that in any case he votes unfavorably the plan certified by the Court and already accepted by banks and bondholders, thus causing the company to go bankrupt, freeing so routes and personal, a burden for a potential buyer ".
"I ask that any credit transfer - concludes Onorato - take place with transparency on the amount, time and methods and that, as I have already proposed in the past, the buyer is obliged to comply with the plan already accepted by banks and bondholders, an obligation that between the other, and this is no small feat, would enhance, in the event of a sale, the credit to the advantage of the State and creditors ".
THE REPLY - After Onorato's accusations, the Grimaldi Group's reply is ready, which "firmly rejects any specious and instrumental insinuation about the willingness to purchase part of the debts of the companies headed by Onorato. This is confirmed by the fact that its owners have already and several times rejected all the proposals received, showing them reasons of personal and business ethics ".
"Due to these and other low insinuations - continues the note - the Group points out that it has mandated its lawyers to evaluate every possible initiative to protect the integrity of the companies that make it up, of the management and of all women and the men who, with professionalism and self-denial, in Italy and in the world, operate under the Grimaldi banner ".
