"In just three minutes, the participants will have to film and present Cagliari in very short author's shorts that highlight its merits, and maybe even its defects, trying to fix peculiarities, hidden corners, original stories and suggestive places".

This is the format of "Three minutes of fame in Cagliari", a competition between short films open to students, enthusiasts and professionals with no age or origin limits, organized as part of the fifteenth edition of the Alziator Award, entitled to the figure of the unforgettable writer , scholar and journalist from Cagliari.

"The cinema section of the Alziator Prize - explains a note from the Alziator Foundation - will be presented this afternoon, Friday 19 November, at 5 pm in the auditorium of the Parish of the Holy Crucifix in via Zagreb with an event that will have the city of Cagliari as its main protagonist.

The patron of the Alziator Award Maurizio Porcelli will illustrate the program of the cinema section and will interview one of the great connoisseurs of the capital, the writer Giuseppe Luigi Nonnis, for years principal in high schools, author of real best sellers dedicated to the city of Cagliari and one of the more attentive connoisseurs of the city reality that will present his volumes dedicated to Stampace and Villanova taken from the collection of the New Semi-Series Passeggiate published by Arkadia.

The days of the Short Film Competition will be Saturday 27 November at 5 pm in the Great Hall of the Uci Cinemas complex in Piazza Unione Sarda, when Luca Verdone, brother of Carlo, director, scholar, screenwriter and consultant of the Alberto Sordi Museum Foundation will arrive in Cagliari for a tribute to the national Albertone whose centenary of birth was postponed last year due to covid, and on Friday 10 December at 5 pm at the Thotel starring Enrico Vanzina, brother of the famous director Carlo who died a few years ago, who will present his book "My brother Carlo" published by HarperCollins which traces over 50 years of career of one of the couples who have indelibly marked the history of Italian cinema.

During the two events, actors and personalities of great artistic caliber who have worked with Alberto Sordi and the Vanzina brothers will participate, while on the final day the winners of the various prizes in competition will also be announced, who will receive the awards from the hands of Maestro Vanzina ".
