Parma, third-last in the standings and - as of today - first of the relegated teams, is trying to make a change with a change of coach. The club, in the aftermath of yesterday's 0-1 defeat against Roma , has decided to fire coach Fabio Pecchia. A choice that comes after a negative series of four games all lost, the first in a dramatic fashion against Milan on January 26 (3-2, winning 1-2 at the Meazza until the 92nd minute).
It is still unclear who the replacement will be, but the management has already communicated their decision to the coach. Pecchia arrived at Parma in June 2022, in his first season qualifying for the Serie B playoffs with elimination in the semi-final against Claudio Ranieri's Cagliari . Then the victory in the last championship and the twenty-five days of this Serie A. At the moment the yellow and blues have 20 points with 4 wins, 8 draws and 13 defeats, the last success on December 28 against Monza (2-1 at the end).
In the next round, Parma will play at home against Bologna, on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. Eight days ago, the team, no longer led by Pecchia (with him still on the bench), lost 2-1 in the relegation clash in Cagliari. This is the eighth change of coach in this Serie A.
