The Zecchino d'Oro children's song festival restarts with the casting for the 65th edition, scheduled for next December. And until March 31st, even the aspiring little singers of the island will be able to send their video auditions on the dedicated web platform of the event.
From 1959 to today, 43 children from Sardinia have been on the stage of the Zecchino d'Oro, of which 5 have interpreted a winning song.
The last to represent Sardinia at the Zecchino d'Oro was, in 2021 at the 64th edition, Giuseppe di Perfugas , with the song “Il Reggaetonno”.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE - To participate, just choose your favorite from the playlist of Zecchino d'Oro's most famous songs, learn the lyrics, sing it in a one-minute video and upload the video - along with a short video presentation - to the Zecchino website Gold.
The selection procedure is totally free and aimed at all boys and girls between 3 and 10 years old. The playlist to choose from, which includes the great classics such as "Volevo un gatto nero" and "Il waltz del moscerino" and the hits of recent years such as "Guardians of the World" and "Superbabbo", is available on the site casting.zecchinodoro .org.
The videos will be examined by Antoniano's staff and the selected boys and girls will then be listened to again in a second selection phase. "The goal is not to find extraordinary vocals or small talents - specify from the organization - but the most suitable performers for the songs competing at Zecchino d'Oro 2022".
In 2021, Antoniano received about 3,000 video performances, among which the 17 soloists who participated in the broadcast of Rai1 were chosen.
