The cultural event concludes its 2026 edition in the grand courtyard of Casa Mereu, the street of murals, and the Civic Market with a long journey exploring the human soul and personal stories, gliding lightly through prestigious biographies. The San Gavino Monreale Literary Festival is a cultural initiative promoted by the Municipality of San Gavino Monreale, with the support of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia and the Fondazione di Sardegna. and the organizational coordination of the Association of Local Authorities for Cultural and Entertainment Activities.

Bobbi Marcs and Michela Atzeni will kick off the festival's final evening at 7 p.m. on Via dei Murales with a traveling concert that will lead readers to the town center. Another great woman will kick off the literary gatherings at Casa Mereu: actress and director Serra Yilmaz. She will lead us through the book "Dear Istanbul": the tale of a legendary place, steeped in history, through neighborhoods, streets, and houses. The discussion will be moderated by teacher and scholar Rebecca Pisanu.

The journalist Paola Pilia, accompanied on double bass by Andrea Lai and Matteo Gallus on violin, at 9 pm, "Il Nastro Celeste – Live" will transport the audience to Ulassai. This performance tells the story of Maria Lai's most famous work, "Legarsi alla Montagna," whose behind-the-scenes narrative, steeped in tension and twists, reads like a novel.

The island's new music scene will be the focus of the 10:00 pm Talk & Music session, featuring musicians Valentina Luiu, aka Valucre, and Enrico Marongiu, aka Bobbi Marcs. The two present an intimate concert of vocals, guitar, and ukulele, featuring fresh singer-songwriter songs and pop sounds. Michela Atzeni and a DJ set by Puta Caso will greet the audience and close the eighth edition of the San Gavino Monreale Literary Festival from the Piazza del Mercato Civico. Readings of excerpts from Grazia Deledda's "Canne al Vento" and visuals by Simone Mura will provide the backdrop for a relaxed end to the evening.
