The bill that adapts the National Home Saver in Sardinia is law . The Regional Council has just approved it with 28 votes in favor, 13 abstentions and two against . The implementation of the Government decree is not total.

The minimum habitable surface area limit for studio apartments remains 28 square meters, and not 20 as required by the national standard . As for the minimum heights in homes, they are 2.40 meters for buildings constructed up to 24 May 2024, 2.70 for those to be constructed soon (the minimum height is always 2.40 meters in the national standard). As for tolerated partial non-conformities: it goes from 10 to 20% in buildings constructed up to 24 May 2024 (10% in future buildings). For total non-conformities: it goes from 20 to 30% for buildings constructed up to 24 May 2024 (20% in future buildings).

In his voting statements, the president of the fourth commission Roberto Li Gioi (M5S) spoke of "a measure of good politics based on competence. It was a frank and constructive discussion with the minority. Your decision to abstain means that the measure is valid".

The two councilors who voted against are Alessandro Sorgia (Lega) and Stefano Schirru (Alleanza Sardegna) . Sorgia, in particular, spoke of "a lot of wasted time, we are discussing a bill that should have arrived much earlier. Delays that have blocked many building practices, and penalized families. It is a restrictive bill and Sardinia does not need this"
