The eclecticism of Marcello Peghin and the refinement of Stefania Secci Rosa will close tonight, Wednesday 1 June, at 9 pm, the fourth edition of the Festival "S'ard Music 2022 - The dancers of the Stars" staged on the Massimo theater stage in Cagliari.
Promoted by the S'ardmusic Cultural Association, with the contribution of the Sardinia Foundation, the Municipality of Cagliari and the Department of Education of the Sardinia Region, S'ard Festival has proposed in these two months of appointments , a long series of previews, experiments in music and original productions, with a catalog of over forty-five projects and about fifty record productions.
The awaited closure of the billboard will feature one of the most fascinating voices currently active in Sardinia, Stefania Secci Rosa, who has been on the breach for some years with some works of great refinement and emotional intensity and who proposes an imaginative meeting in music between Sardinia and Portugal .
Signed by the singer-songwriter from Cagliari, indomitable explorer of the great powers of singing, it will be an exclusive preview of the upcoming new album entitled " Sola ".
Among these, “Rosa Rossa”, dedicated to the Polish philosopher and political activist Rosa Luxemburg, one of the most important female figures in contemporary history and accompanied by an evocative video signed by Maurizio Olla for directing and Alonso Crespo for photography.
The video, which anticipates the album produced by S'ardmusic and Egea, develops the theme of anti-militarist ideals and social commitment.
A project born thinking in Sardinian and playing in Portuguese, set to music by a varied ensemble that this evening will also see on stage the extraordinary participation of Ana Leins , one of the most famous Lusitanian artists of the current scene and among the protagonists of the disc, considered among the voices more original than the new fado.
The opening of the concert in Cagliari is entrusted to Marcello Peghin , award-winning guitarist and composer , known and appreciated internationally.
Born in Lecce, but naturalized in Alghero, he specializes in performances of the ancient classical repertoire, his great passion.
Graduated in classical guitar, Peghin has worked with musicians of different cultures and backgrounds from the caliber of Enrico Rava, Tony Scott, Lester Bowie and is able to range from cultured music to improvised music playing on different instruments, from 10-string classical to 12 strings, up to the baritone guitar, the caipira viola, the electric guitar, the folk guitar and live electronics.
