The "Sanna" Archaeological Museum of Sassari houses and exhibits the first menhir statue found in Laconi, Genna Arrèle I , which represents the icon of the prehistoric statuary phenomenon in Sardinia .

The collection of menhir statues found in the tomb of the Giants of Aiòdda in Nurallào is also on display. For this reason, the Sassari museum fully enters the National Network of Stele/Menhir Museums, signed four years ago by the Municipalities and Museums of Pontremoli, La Spezia, Aosta, Riva del Garda, Bovino, the Sardinian Network of Museums and places of the Statue Menhir and by the RAS, through the Department of Cultural Heritage.

Entry into the network will be made official on November 26 , in Laconi at the "De André" Cineteatro in Laconi in a ceremony-conference that will begin at 10.

The agreement, for one of the most important expressions of Sardinian civilization, will be signed by Luana Toniolo, Regional Director of Museums, and the Director of the "GA Sanna" National Archaeological Museum of Sassari, Elisabetta Grassi.

The Mayor of Laconi, Salvatore Argiolas, the Superintendent for Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the Metropolitan Area of Cagliari and for the Provinces of Oristano and Southern Sardinia, Monica Stochino will also take part. The works will be coordinated by Giorgio Murru, Director of the Menhir Museum of Laconi.
