Almost 12 years after its reopening, the Teatro Massimo in Cagliari writes a new page in its history.

A page in sparkling colors that bears the signature of Cedac, the season of great prose in the island that also creates the multidisciplinary circuit of live entertainment with the president Antono Cabiddu and the artistic director Valeria Ciabattoni, and Jazz in Sardinia: they are the managers who won the tender announced by the Municipality of Cagliari to take care of one of the most important theaters on the island.

The inaugural show could not have been more apt since the hall in Via De Magistris was invaded by an audience of young people, who decreed the sold out, who came in large numbers to acclaim Valerio Lundini, a 35-year-old Roman capable of filling any space from the North. in the South of the boot, including the islands.

In the midst of an insidious pandemic, with so many cases of contagions, albeit much less virulent according to experts, it can be said that theater, in general, is one of the safest places.

The precautions adopted by the Scientific Technical Committee include entry with the reinforced green pass and the obligation of an FFP2 mask for the entire stay inside the structure.

In order to guarantee maximum safety, the consumption of food and drinks in the refreshment points of theaters, cinemas, concert halls and similar structures was also sacrificed on the altar of cultural enjoyment without worries.

Practically you enter vaccinated, with the FFP2 mask worn, the one that protects 98%, and you go out without ever removing it: practically no possibility of contagion.

Based on these certainties and thanks to excellent programming, the inaugural triptych, with Carmen Consoli and the dance etoile Sergio Bernal, proposed from yesterday until January 9 at the Teatro Massimo by the renewed governance, gives a glimpse of a situation close to everything sold out for each scheduled date: the public is happy and the Siae figures for Lundini's show speak for themselves.

And in the coming days Cedac and Jazz in Sardinia announce a meeting to illustrate future projects.

For now, the first, second and third promises very well.
