The center-right is regrouping ahead of the regional elections in Sardinia . The step backwards of the League was decisive, abandoning the hypothesis of a re-nomination of Christian Solinas and joining the Brothers of Italy in supporting Paolo Truzzu 's race for the governor's seat.
«The League, as taught by Silvio Berlusconi , is aware that the unity of the centre-right is a value to be defended. For this reason, the party will regroup the coalition also in Sardinia, with a sense of responsibility and out of love for the island, despite the dismay at the initiatives of part of the judiciary", explains the Carroccio.
The reference is to the seizure ordered by the Cagliari Prosecutor's Office against Solinas , who was investigated together with six other people for corruption. A measure whose "strange timing" Salvini's party underlines.
