A goal from substitute Sulemana avoided defeat against Cagliari, who had to settle for a 1-1 home draw in the direct clash with Verona in a Domus which, despite Pasquella, was "sold out".

Ranieri recovers Mina in defense, throws Luvumbo back into the fray and, up front, focuses on Shomurodov and Lapadula, for an offensive formation. The idea is to immediately attack Baroni's Verona, who finds Folorunsho in the attacking midfield.

Great competitive spirit, but no shot on target for the first 30', when on the first real attempt of the match Verona passes: cross from the right by Noslin, flicker by Bonazzoli who anticipates everyone and passes Scuffet.

Cagliari is unable to get its attacking players moving and the Gialloblù manage the lead without too many worries. And indeed, in the 40th minute, Scuffet avoids an encore by closing the door on Folorunsho, who runs away all alone on the edge of offside. The half ends with the guests in the lead and without any shots from Ranieri's team.

In the second half, Viola is immediately there for the evanescent Shomurodov, while Lazovic comes in for Mitrovic in Verona. And it was the new substitute who made it 2-0 in the 4th minute, but it was canceled out for offside.

The narrow escape charges Cagliari, who rush forward, but take a big risk on the counterattack. Like in the 15th minute, when Scuffet saved again from Lazovic who launched into the net. In the 27th minute there was a triple change, with Prati, Sulemana and Oristanio replacing Makoumbou, Deiola and Nandez. And the former Sulemana himself, two minutes later, finds the right corner with his right, from the edge, finding the 1-1.

At this point, Cagliari tries to win it and Luvumbo (44') challenges Montipò with a poisonous left-footed shot from the edge. The last emotion is a cross shot from the Angolan which ends just wide. It ends 1-1, the race towards salvation continues.
