The Barumini cultural system foundation, the national archaeological museum of Cagliari and the municipality of Barumini present: 'The olla with a thickened rim of su Nuraxi returns to Barumini'

The 'Olla with thickened rim of su Nuraxi' returns to Barumini. A unique find for a special occasion, desired and organized by the National Archaeological Museum of Cagliari together with the Barumini Sistema Cultura Foundation in collaboration with the Municipality of Barumini.

On Saturday 4 February at the Giovanni Lilliu Cultural Heritage Communication and Promotion Center in Barumini (from 9.30 to 12.30) an appointment that combines finds, archeology and territories will take place.

A moment of discussion on the island's cultural heritage and on the importance of protecting, as well as preserving and promoting, the beauties of Sardinian history. The conference, organized by the most important Sardinian archaeological museum, also represents another demonstration of the importance of collaboration between institutions to bring local territories and communities closer to issues related to knowledge of Nuragic culture and archaeological tourism.

The conference, open to all, will also be useful as a training course for the Foundation's staff.

At the appointment introduced and coordinated by Maria Antonietta Mongiu, Member of the Board of Directors of the National Archaeological Museum of Cagliari; Michele Zucca, Mayor of Barumini will intervene; Emanuele Lilliu, President of the Barumini Culture System Foundation and Francesco Muscolino, Director of the National Archaeological Museum of Cagliari.

Among the speeches, those of: Caterina Lilliu, Member of the Barumini Culture System Board of Directors for a discussion on "Barumini beyond Su Nuraxi"; Gerlinde Jona Tautschnig, Conservator Restorer of the National Archaeological Museum of Cagliari for the report on "Restoration and Maintenance: the art of curating cultural heritage”; Giovanni Barroccu, former Professor of Applied Geology, University of Cagliari with: "Geology, foundation of Earth Sciences"; Sergio Vacca, former Associate of Soil Sciences, University of Sassari on: "The soil, resilient supplier of food over the millennia ”; Michele Agus, former Director of the Geomineral Studies Center - CNR of Cagliari and of the Institute of Environmental Geology and Geoengineering (IGAG) - CNR of Rome, for the "Narrations of Geoarchaeology".

The initiative will also be streamed.
