In Sassari the curtain rises on the tenth edition of the " Wednesdays of the Conservatory ".

Expected start on March 8th at the “ Luigi Canepa ”. It will be International Women's Rights Day to inaugurate the music festival with the first of thirty appointments on the bill : the concert by the pianist Elena Ortu . Many protagonists of the season: 60 alumni, more than 30 teachers and external guests. For the director of the Luigi Meloni Conservatory, "the review represents one of our most significant strengths, both from the point of view of teaching excellence and the high artistic quality of the proposals and performers". And so until November 15 the Sassu hall of the school will host – at 7 pm – at least one concert a week, ranging from baroque to jazz , from chamber music to opera singing up to electronics . On the summer nights of July and August, the "Wednesdays" will be replaced by the " Contemporary Notturni " series, in collaboration with the Cagliari Conservatory .

There are also some extras . On Friday 14th April there will be a concert by the pianist Andrea Fadda , on Friday 22nd September the Homage to Shostakovich , on Friday 29th September " Italian Baroque " and on Friday 3rd November with the Baroque Ensemble of the Conservatory . According to the president of the Coservatory Ivano Lai , the concerts donated to the city and the territory «not only demonstrate our rich artistic production , but represent the concrete participation of all citizens, young people and adults, in the life of the institution». Admission to all appointments will be free , except for the one on Thursday 1 June with the pianist Sinziana Mircea and the organist Davide Mariano who will perform in the town church of the Sacred Heart.
