Tamoil Italia, a company belonging to the international Olinvest group, has decided to adopt "a series of measures aimed at mitigating the price of fuels sold at its network of branded distributors" .

The company announced this in a statement, specifying that the initiative will remain in force until October 31, 2026 , without however specifying whether the cap will be the same as that set by Eni and Ip, of 2.19 euros per litre for diesel and 1.99 for petrol.

The initiative, according to the press release, is part of the current extraordinary circumstances resulting from the international situation, which continues to impact energy markets and the transportation sector, significantly impacting household purchasing power and the costs borne by economic operators. Responding to calls from institutions and consumer associations, Tamoil Italia intends to make a concrete contribution to supporting citizens' mobility by implementing measures to contain fuel prices. The measures adopted are designed to generate benefits for both end consumers and the economic sustainability of activities related to the distribution network.

Just yesterday, Palazzo Chigi announced negotiations with Tamoil and the Libyan government to push in this direction. Tamoil operates over 1,500 service stations in Italy, including 72 in Sardinia, according to the company's website.

Tamoil thus joins Eni, Ip, and Q8. More than half of the distributors in Italy and Sardinia will therefore have regulated fuel prices .
