If once a month the Moon appears full, on this night of July 13 the full Moon will be at the closest point to the Earth (perigee), at a distance of about 357,000 km. Called Superluna, on this night our natural satellite will appear brighter about 30% compared to a normal full Moon and will show about 14% larger .
A few days after the anniversary of man's landing on the moon, this night is the right occasion to watch our satellite rise as soon as the sun sets , using binoculars or telescope to enjoy the vision of the seas and lunar craters.
The Planetarium of L'Unione Sarda, in collaboration with the Astroturismo Sardegna network, has organized two events where it will bring its telescopes: Villasimius at the old fortress and Lanusei at the Selene wood.
