Spring, what a joke! Rossoblù reached in the 96th minute by Empoli
The Cagliari boys took the lead through Konate, but the Tuscans made it 1-1 in injury time

A mocking draw for Cagliari Primavera in the direct clash with Empoli. The rossoblù, after having broken the deadlock in the 11th minute with Konate and having managed the advantage for a good part of the match, were joined by the Tuscans in the 96th minute. A fatal error by Cogoni was taken away by the Italian Vallarelli on the edge of the area. The Empoli midfielder was cold once he entered the area in front of Iliev.
In the first half there were many opportunities for each side . After Konate's lead , assisted by Desogus (now out of quota), the Sardinians wasted the second goal in the 13th minute again with the Italian-Ivorian centre-forward, inaccurate with a right-footed volley in front of goal. But Empoli are there and Corona devours the equalizer in the quarter of an hour: the Azzurri center forward steals the ball from Catena from inside the area and shoots towards goal but Iliev saves for a corner.
From the 20th minute Cagliari tried to raise the center of gravity by building, with effort from below, taking risks in some situations. Sodero, in the 23rd minute, breaks into the area but finishes wide. Pisacane's team comes back again in the 28th minute: Arba's cross and Vinciguerra's header which ends just wide. After half an hour the Tuscans came close to equalizing again : Bucancil-Corona triangulation, with the latter sending the ball incredibly wide from a good position.
In the second half the two teams slowed down the pace considerably , with the home team trying to manage their lead. In the 62nd minute Vinciguerra shakes his team with a curling shot blocked without problems by Stubljar. Pisacane replaces Desogus (warned) for Achour in the 65th minute. The match seems to be under Cagliari's control and they risk only once, in the 79th minute, on a corner kick, with Idrissi hitting the top of the crossbar in an attempt to clear the ball. But in the 96th minute the cold shower came, with a goal from Vallarelli, quick to take advantage of Cogoni's mistake. It ends 1-1 with Cagliari wasting an incredible chance to overtake the Tuscan team and move into the playoff zone.
