Sorso, the thirteenth edition of Calici di Stelle is underway
Tastings, cultural and entertainment events are scheduled
The thirteenth edition of Calici di Stelle is starting in Sorso , proposing the itinerant formula, after the recent restrictions imposed by the health emergency. A rich program of events and tastings is planned throughout the municipal area.
The event is organized by the Municipal Administration-Departments for Tourism, Productive Activities and Culture, in collaboration with local wineries, local production activities and cultural associations involved in theater, music and entertainment.
THE PROGRAM - Waiting for the key day , scheduled for Friday 12 August with the traditional traveling event "Goblets of Stars", the now usual appointment with the review "Waiting for Goblets of Stars" is about to start, a program of events that it will last until 11 August. It opens with "Calici in Cantina", three events for a trip to some of the most renowned wineries in the area. The first of the three events, all scheduled at 8 pm, is for Saturday 9 July in the Nuraghe Crabioni Winery (Lu Crabioni locality); then Friday 15 July at the Asinara Estate (Tresmontes), while the last event is scheduled for Saturday 30 July, in the Antonio Carta Winery (La Tonnara). Also within "Waiting for Calici di Stelle" is "Tesori di Romangia - Flavors, Sounds and Traditions", the review conceived in collaboration with the T @ nit association which on Friday 15, Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 July includes a series of itinerant food and wine and cultural events departing from the Baronial Palace at 9.30.
In addition to the food and wine promotion, "Waiting for Calici di Stelle" includes two important moments of entertainment . On 10 August, at 7 pm, the traditional appointment with “Music under the Stars” is confirmed at the Marina di Sorso, an evening of music with a fireworks display organized in collaboration with the Bench Press Sorso association. Thursday 11 August the inauguration of the exhibition by the artist Tiziano Dettori. On the same day (7 pm), at Palazzo Baronale, conference on “Tourism, Hospitality and Wellness - Possible experimental projects”. Following will be a benefit concert "Never again broken dreams" - Artists united for AIL, organized in collaboration with the Italian Association against Leukemia.
The heart of the event, scheduled for 12 August, will mark the long-awaited return to the historic itinerant formula. The event will involve the streets of the historic center and the most evocative corners of the city as a real " itinerary of taste ", accompanied by music and artistic events.
“Calici di Stelle is now an event so dear to the whole community but also to the many visitors who have always taken part in the event - declares the mayor of Sorso Fabrizio Demelas -. With the thirteenth edition we will finally return to the traditional itinerant formula, after two years of forced stop imposed by the pandemic. The organization requires a lot of planning work and therefore I am deeply grateful to all the actors who are collaborating in its realization. We foresee the sale of 4 thousand glasses with relative carnet for the tasting of the wines offered by the wineries operating in our territory, increasingly protagonists in the national and international wine scene ". "The conditions for an edition of large numbers are all there - concludes the mayor - in the name of promoting our excellence".
The Councilor for Tourism and Productive Activities Federico Basciu clarifies some aspects. "The main points of attraction and meeting point will be in via Cottoni, piazzale della Stazione, piazza Marginesu, piazza Garibaldi, piazza Cavour, piazza Sant'Agostino, viale Umberto, piazza San Pantaleo and via Cappuccini - he explains -. In addition to the wine tasting stands of the 6 wineries of excellence that will take part in the event, there will be numerous stands of typical local products, where visitors can taste the best wines of the area in combination with other typical products of agricultural production and local gastronomy " .
For the occasion, the municipal administration of Sorso has signed an agreement with the Taxi Sassari Service cooperative, which will accompany visitors from Sassari to Sorso at a fixed rate of 25 euros.
