Singer-songwriter Sidra guest at the Lecco music and theatre festival

She will bring a song in the Sardinian language to the music and theater festival in the mountains of Lecco. Sidra's powerful and expressive voice will resonate on June 28 in the "Sopra di me La Grigne" festival, scheduled from June 14 to August 2. She, a singer-songwriter originally from Bitti, will perform in the third date of the festival at the Roccoli Lorla refuge in Valvarrone. She will propose various songs, including lyrics in the Sardinian language, such as "Asa a connoschere", her fourth song composed in limba and published last February. Her voice will be accompanied by Sebastiano Deriu's guitar and Antonio Sircana's piano.
Sidra is the stage name of Piera Demurtas, a multifaceted artist with various successful experiences in the field of music and beyond. In 2016 she took part in the “A squarciagola” festival in Sassari and won with the song in the Sardinian language “Tue non ti irmentiches chie sese”. The following year she was on stage at the Abbabula festival with Ombra, a song selected for the anthology collection of the eighth edition of the Cet scuola autori di Mogol award. In 2021 she won the award for best performer at the Alpi Apuane festival, in Tuscany.
Her sounds conquer the public, combining blues and American soul, Italian pop and ethnic music. Her first album, entitled “Come Gomma”, was produced and recorded in Turin in collaboration with Giuvanna, author and guitarist of Eugenio Finardi, who takes care of the arrangements of the songs. Her passion for music and singing is accompanied by a passion for figurative art. And with the painting “Donna con burqa” Sidra won the twentieth edition of the national prize “Fabrizio De Andrè”, painting section. She also boasts several collaborations in the cinematographic field, such as the most recent with “Underground Experiment” where she lent her voice to the soundtrack of the film “Falamos” by Paolo Lubinu.
In the theatre field, he collaborates with various companies including “La luna antica” of Sassari, “Teatro Sassari”, “Burlesque” of Turin, “Art Tribù” of Sassari and “Casa dei suoni e racconti” of Cagliari with which, in June 2024, he proposes the narrative concert “Accabadora”, inspired by the book by Michela Murgia.
