In Gallura, way back in 2008, a project was born that is now a source of pride for the island's winemaking community: the Siddùra winery, which interprets a constantly growing reality and relies on the distinctive characteristics of Sardinia's native wines.
The cellar
Nestled in a valley surrounded by woods, with unruly and difficult-to-cultivate soil, Siddùra (in Gallura dialect, "saddle," which refers to the shape of the hills on which the rows of vines cling) enriches the world of winemaking with its products, its awards, and its entrepreneurial evolution.
The Siddùra label is a prestigious line, with eleven wines produced: Vermentino di Gallura, Cannonau, Carignano, international wines, a passito, and a sparkling Brut Rosé, for a total production of approximately 250,000 bottles. Nothing is left to chance in those granite, sand, and clay soils: in the Siddùra vineyards, a thorough pursuit of quality, perfection, and harmony is conducted, with the aim of producing wines that are an authentic interpretation of Sardinia. Furthermore, they carefully follow the gentle cycle of nature, embracing the climate and the seasons, which, in harmony, imbue Siddùra wines with their unique character.
The Siddùra brand has grown over the years, responding to the demands of a market increasingly attentive to quality and focused on true sustainability. A more acute attention
to the environment and a pressing reduction in the impact of processing waste: these are among the priorities of the Sardinian winery.
In this context of positive growth, the winery's expansion is also reflected in the number of hectares of vineyards and the adoption of new tools for wine ageing.
The production
Wine is an interpretation of its terroir, which is why winemaking begins in the vineyard. The Gallura tradition is renewed glass after glass, and viticulture remains an art, favoring spontaneous fermentations and the widest variety of containers available: from concrete vats to oak barrels built in France.
With its production, Siddùra has raised awareness of Sardinia's only DOCG and Vermentino's only DOCG, an expression of intense character. Three Vermentino di Gallura wines are available: the fragrant Spèra, the elegant Maìa, and the revolutionary Bèru.
Siddùra's wines include five excellent, award-winning reds: two Cannonau wines, DOC and DOC Riserva, two Carignano wines, finely crafted in the cellar, an international blend, Tìros, a Cannonau rosé, Nudo, and Nùali, a masterpiece of balance immersed in a sweet, never cloying wine.
In 2025, Siddùra launched its first sparkling wine, A'MARE, a rosé sparkling wine that captures the fresh identity of Sardinia.
For the company, its products represent a gift from nature, and for this reason, they are cultivated with the wisdom of the hands and dedication to the land. This is a production chain
Virtuous winemaking, from grape to bottle, begins right in the cellar: located in the center of the estate, perfectly buried, in order to take advantage of the natural insulation provided by the soil.
The awards
Siddùra wines are precious, transcending the island's borders and bringing the purest wines of Sardinia across the sea and ocean. Along this path, Siddùra today stands as Sardinia's most awarded winery, with approximately 940 awards, both nationally and, above all, internationally. In 2021, Vinitaly and the prestigious fair's guide chose Siddùra as Winery of the Year.
The passion for the noble culture of wine has recently been rewarded with prestigious awards. The Spèra and Maìa wines were named Italy's best Vermentino in the Diano Castello competition in 2024 and 2023, respectively; the Bèru won the 2025 National Vermentino Wine Competition, authorized and sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture.
And then there's Tìros, included in the top 100 best wines in the world, according to the World Rankings of Wines & Spirits report; and Nudo, defined, in 2024, as the best rosé in the world.
A question of records, a confirmation of the purity of intent, as the Siddùra brand states in its slogan: Sardinia in Purity.
The Siddùra label's production is synonymous with high quality and identity, interpreting the island of wine to the world, presenting it as a region of excellent wine references.
