The municipal administration of Sennori awarded the athlete Vittorio Cabras with a plaque, bronze medalist at the Italian Olympic Weightlifting Championships which took place at the end of November in San Marino.
The 21-year-old, under the Sennorese Olympic Weightlifting, was received in the municipality by the mayor, Nicola Sassu, by the councilor for sport, Roberto Desini, and by the president of the municipal council, Pina Pazzola.
With his teacher Peppino Tanti at his side, the 80-year-old lifter who gave prestige to Italy and Sennori by participating in the Olympics in Munich in 1972 and in Montreal in 1976, the young Vittorio Cabras, Italian vice-champion category 109, received a plaque, a tribute from the municipal administration to "his" sporting talent.
