Shiny eyes and gaze turned towards the sky . Because a year after the tragedy that struck the entire Island, the thought is always for them, those four angels who became the children, brothers and sisters, grandchildren, of all : Najibe Zaher, Giorgia Banchero, Simone Picci and Alessandro Sanna, the young people who lost their lives at dawn on September 10, 2023 in Viale Marconi.

" A terrible pain that will never go away , we are trying to be strong for our daughter", the words of father Omar Zaher and mother Merita Agus , parents of Najibe, pronounced today during the first memorial organized in Selargius, a soccer tournament hosted in the sports center of via Don Bosco. With two exceptional testimonials: the rossoblù Simone Scuffet and Gabriele Zappa who - between selfies and autographs - remembered the four young people who disappeared and raised awareness of road safety among those present.

" Pay attention while driving, avoid distractions , and respect the rules of the road", the words of goalkeeper Scuffet. "Do not use your cell phone while driving and do not exceed the speed limit", adds Cagliari defender Zappa, "be responsible because only in this way can you save lives, yours and those of others".

Representatives of the Municipality were also present, with the mayor Gigi Concu, the director of the Cagliari traffic police, Giovanni Corrado Marziano , together with the parents and friends of the girl from Selargius.
