Sedilo, between memories and emotions celebrated the 30th anniversary of "Ichnos"
The organizers of the time were present, but also many protagonists of that unique event
An evening of testimonies, but also of many emotions. The event to celebrate the first 30 years of "Ichnos" which was held on 13 June 1993 at the natural amphitheater of San Costantino, was a great opportunity to meet and remember the most significant moments of the long musical marathon which lasted whole day, thanks to the happy intuition of Leonardo Marras, Giacomo Serreli, Paolo Fisichella and Nicola Corda .
On the initiative of the municipal administration of Sedilo and the Maria Carta foundation , the organizers of the time were present in the premises of Sa Prima Ighina, but also many protagonists of that unique event, who in the name of solidarity and social commitment, brought in the center of Guilcier thousands of people. Also present were several former mayors of the country who strongly supported the initiative.
«Thirty years have passed but that memory is still alive – says Leonardo Marras, who had the idea of Ichnos and who is now president of the Maria Carta Foundation -. We can say that that event has entered the history of the great events of Sardinia . So reliving Ichnos is always a great emotion. We will never stop thanking the community of Sedilo for welcoming us with warmth and great affection. Thanks to the mayor Salvatore Pes for having strongly wanted this day of memories".
The event for the thirtieth anniversary of the musical festival was also an opportunity to remember how many of the Sardinian artists have trod that stage and in some cases are no longer there but who will never be forgotten.
