Concert in three parts on Friday at 8.30pm on the stage of the Teatro Comunale of Sassari. Organized by the “Canepa” Conservatory, the evening will be exceptionally dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the foundation of the Guardia di Finanza.

After the performance of the national anthem and the institutional greetings of the leaders of the Conservatory, the Guardia di Finanza and the Region, the performance of Bitti's "Tenore Romanzesu" is scheduled, composed of the very young Andrea Sanna, Claudio Sanna, Salvatore Ena and Giuseppe Crissantu. Three songs will be performed in kind homage to the Guardia di Finanza: Armi e brio and The financier's prayer by Antonio D'Elia and The financier's anthem by Giuseppe Manente.

The Mameli Hymn and the Financier's Prayer will be sung for the occasion by the Conservatory Choir, instructed by the teacher Claudia Dolce and made up of around 40 members.

The symphonic program of the Conservatory Orchestra directed by Mattia Rondelli will open with the Totentanz , a paraphrase from Dies irae S 126 by Franz Liszt, for piano and orchestra, in which the Orchestra will support the pianist Gianmichele Milia, winner of the usual audition at the interior of the Conservatory. The suite Ma mère l'Oye, a masterpiece by Maurice Ravel, will then be proposed. The Orchestra will then perform a Suite of pieces by the American composer Gershwin entitled “Porgy and Songs”. Marco Lizzeri and Dario Sanna, students of the Composition classes, arranged and orchestrated this Suite.

The concert program will conclude with the performance of the two Suites for small orchestra in which the grotesque, dance and folklore are enhanced by the panache and immense refinement of the orchestration.
