Starting from Monday 13th January, a section of the SS 125 Var "Orientale Sarda" will be closed to traffic for modernization works of the systems in the 'Arexini' tunnel (1921 meters), in the territory of Muravera. The expected duration of the construction site is about three months.

Traffic will be diverted onto secondary roads with the following route: those travelling in the direction of Tortolì will be directed onto the former State Road 125 at the junction at km 39.300 towards the town of Muravera and then enter the ring road (via Sarrabus), continue on the municipal road and re-enter the State Road 125 Var using the junction at km 47. The flow of traffic heading towards Cagliari will instead be diverted at km 47 towards Muravera onto the former State Road 125, continue along the municipal road until rejoining the State Road 125 Var at the junction at km 39.300.

Access to the fuel station at km 41.650 on SS 125 Var will also always be permitted. The works, with a total value of over three million euros, include the installation of a new LED lighting system and safety lighting devices.
