Violent collision at Galanoli crossroads: four injured in yellow code, traffic interrupted

Four people were injured in a road accident that occurred late this afternoon on the Nuoro-Orgosolo highway, near the Galanoli junction.

The two cars involved collided violently, causing serious damage to one of the vehicles. The most serious injuries were suffered by the four passengers of a Fiat Panda , who were transported with a yellow code to the San Francesco hospital in Nuoro. The occupants of the vehicle, unfortunately, were injured, but not in danger of life.

Fortunately, the driver of the small car and the driver of the other vehicle involved in the accident were unharmed, thus escaping any serious consequences. The Nuoro firefighters and 118 ambulances intervened promptly on the scene, providing first aid and transporting the injured to the city hospital. To allow for rescue operations and secure the accident area, the road was closed to traffic for several hours, creating inevitable traffic disruption.

Law enforcement is working to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident and determine the causes that led to the collision. The accident has once again put the spotlight on road safety along the stretch that connects Nuoro to Orgosolo, which has already been the scene of similar accidents in the past. Local authorities have already announced that checks will be stepped up to prevent further incidents and ensure greater safety for drivers.
