Face covered by a surgical mask, wool cap on the head. And gun in hand - it is not clear what type - pointed at the face of one of the owners and used to fire a shot in the air during the escape.

It's a lone bandit who this morning in Villasor robbed two tobacconists, one in via Cagliari and the other in piazza Matteotti.

The man broke into the business around 8:30 am and without hesitation went behind the counter to get the owners to hand over the money, under threat of a gun.

The robberies were carried out in a few minutes, while inside the tobacco shops there were other customers, who could not do anything, intimidated by the gun and the determination of the criminal . The amount of the loot is not yet known.

Some witnesses reported hearing a shot fired outside the business in Piazza Matteotti: the bandit pointed the gun in the air and pulled the trigger to scare those present.

At least one of the raids was captured on video surveillance cameras: "And we will also make the footage of the municipal facilities available to the Carabinieri," said the mayor of Villasor, Massimo Pinna, who added: "We were all shocked. It's the first time that something like this has happened in Villasor, we are sure that it is an isolated episode."
