Nine hundred kilos of shells and sand illegally taken from the beaches of Villasimius have returned to their place. The volunteers of the Sardinia Environmental Guards association took care of emptying the boxes (almost all confiscated from tourists at Cagliari Elmas airport during the baggage check phase).

The phenomenon of the theft of sand, shells and stones shows no signs of abating. In Villasimius the beaches taken by storm are above all those of Cava Usai and La Fortezza Vecchia.

The Environmental Guards remind you that anyone who removes, holds, even sells small quantities of sand, pebbles, stones or shells from the coast without authorization is subject to an administrative fine of up to three thousand euros.
