Villamassargia, the day of pain: farewell to Nicolò Casu, who died at just 13 years old

An afternoon of pain and prayer today in Villamassargia : the community gathered to say a final farewell to little Nicolò Casu, the thirteen-year-old who passed away two days ago after fighting a serious illness.

The citizens accepted the invitation of the mayor Debora Porrà who, with an ordinance issued on November 4, decided that today, the day of the funeral, would be a day of citizen mourning.

Many shops were closed and the Town Hall flags remained at half-mast throughout the day.
