Villacidro: they get lost during an excursion with their son, two helicopter flights to take them to safety

A family - father, mother and young son - lost their orientation today during an excursion to the Piscina Irgas canyon, in the Villacidro area.

The Drago 144 helicopter of the Fire Brigade intervened on site to rescue them.

The man contacted the emergency services and gave the coordinates where they were located. At 5pm the fire brigade began to intervene and, in addition to the helicopter, they sent a team from the Iglesias detachment and an alpine river speleo team to the site. .

The operations were made very complicated by the strong gusts of wind channeling into the canyon , two flights were necessary to bring the family back to safety . The first with mother and child, the second with the father. Luckily they were all in excellent health, just understandably scared.
