A 23-year-old young man tried to take away about 100 kilos of holm oak wood from a municipal land in Campu Is Molas, in Villacidro. The complaint was filed by the mayor pro tempore of Villacidro.
Subsequent investigations by the NORM Radiomobile Unit of Villacidro allowed them to identify a boy resident in Gonnosfanadiga who was already known to the police. According to what emerged, after cutting wood with a chainsaw, he fled at the sight of the barracelli, abandoning wood and tools on the spot.
The recovered wood was returned to the Municipality of Villacidro, while the chainsaw was subjected to criminal seizure. The Judicial Authority was informed by the Carabinieri of the NORM, who are proceeding with further investigations.
