"We have given a mandate to all vaccination hubs to promote open days, and the hubs are also accepting those who come to receive the booster dose even without a reservation".

This was announced by the regional councilor for health Mario Nieddu to resolve the situation that has arisen in Sardinia in some local health authorities, where to receive the third dose of vaccine by booking one risks waiting even until April.

An attempt to make things easier also in light of the fact that the Ministry of Health has announced that the green certification with only two doses "is no longer valid from February 1, 2022 and the booster dose is required for renewal".

"It is true - says Nieddu - without the third dose the green pass will expire, but the government is thinking of changing its validity". Meanwhile, "we, for our part, open the hubs with open days and, in any case, those who arrive at the center without a reservation are not sent away".

The situation that concerns "thousands of Sardinian citizens waiting for the third dose and who have received communication of the deadline from the ministry", was reported by the regional councilor of the Democratic Party, Rossella Pinna, who just today sent a letter to councilor Nieddu with a request for clarifications.
