The military of the Coast Guard of La Maddalena, during some checks on the fishing chain in some restaurants of Santa Teresa Gallura , discovered about 105 kilograms of frozen fish products (yellowfin tuna, octopus, swordfish, sea bass, lobsters, squid and fish of paranza) without documents attesting their traceability: they were kept inside the kitchen freezers.

The owner of the restaurant was fined an administrative fine of 1,500 euros in addition to the seizure of the product.

«The control activities on the fishing chain will also continue in the next few days», says the commander of the Port Authority of La Maddalena, the frigate captain Renato Signorini, « to ensure compliance with current legislation and for consumer protection, benefit of the community".
