Two women were placed under red code when they hit the guardrail on the Asse Mediano.

Firefighters responded to a road accident in Cagliari last night.

For reasons currently under investigation, a car carrying two women traveling on the Asse Mediano toward Cagliari city center crashed into a guardrail.

Cagliari Fire Brigade had to intervene to free one of the two from the vehicle: both were then handed over to medical personnel and transferred by ambulance to the hospital with critical conditions.
The firefighters secured the vehicles and the roadway.
The Cagliari Local Police were on site to carry out investigations and legal findings.
