Roberto Usai , a 41-year-old truck driver from San Gavino, is accused of attempted murder for having shot Efisio Selis, a 57-year-old from Tuili, in the leg .
Yesterday morning, accompanied by his lawyer Carlo Monaldi, Usai appeared in court for the validation hearing and before the judge he availed himself of the right to remain silent. In the evening, however, he recounted on the phone what had happened on Sunday in Monte Aru, in the Tuili countryside, in the minutes preceding his arrest.
For Usai, after the house search and the checks on the 12-gauge shotgun that was regularly held, house arrest was initiated with the charge of attempted murder. For Selis, instead, 15 days of treatment after the shooting.
