Tragedy at Porto Canale: Truck driver crushed and killed by a load of pipes

A workplace tragedy struck this morning at Cagliari's Porto Canale. A truck driver was crushed and killed by a load of pipes.
According to initial information, he was hit during handling operations with a forklift, which he was loading (or unloading) from the truck.
Ambulances and firefighters were on site. The industrial yard was closed, and all operations were halted on all docks.
The Carabinieri of the Cagliari company and the provincial command are investigating and are carrying out all the necessary checks.
