Two Nigerian citizens, in their thirties, definitively sentenced, respectively, to 12 years for the crime of "enslavement", and to 7 years and 3 months for "trafficking in persons" and "aiding and abetting illegal immigration", are were arrested yesterday as part of a police operation in Cagliari.

The facts to which they must respond, which took place between 2015 and 2016, emerged during a detailed investigation conducted by the Flying Squad, with the coordination of the local DDA, and which ended in June 2017 with the arrest of 13 people, all under investigation. in various ways for the exploitation of prostitution, enslavement, human trafficking and aiding and abetting illegal immigration.

The first foreigner was tracked down to his home in Maracalagonis and accompanied to the Uta prison, while the second foreigner was tracked down to Perugia, with the collaboration of the local Mobile Squad, and taken to the nearest prison.
